New: Lip Sync and Video Export

February 14, 2026 · 2 min read

Two of our most requested features just shipped — lip sync and full video export.

Lip sync with LatentSync

You can now add lip-synced characters to any shot in your storyboard. Upload or generate a character image, and ShowTune uses LatentSync to animate their mouth in sync with your vocal track. The result is a short video clip of your character singing along to the music.

It works best with clear, front-facing character images and isolated vocals (which ShowTune already separates from your mix automatically). The lip sync isn’t perfect — this is still early-stage AI technology — but it adds a level of life and personality that static images can’t match.

Full video export

The other big addition is full video export. Previously, you could preview your storyboard in the editor but couldn’t export a finished video. Now you can.

Hit export and ShowTune renders your entire storyboard — images, lip-synced clips, transitions, and your original audio track — into a single MP4 file. The render happens in the cloud, so it works regardless of your device’s processing power.

Export resolution follows your plan tier: 720p for Creator, 1080p for Pro, and 4K for Studio. Most creators will find 1080p more than sufficient for YouTube and social media.

What’s next

These two features together transform ShowTune from a storyboarding tool into a complete music video creation pipeline. We’re already working on more transition styles, camera movement effects, and longer-form export support. Stay tuned.
